- Anton Bruckner Tour
Who is Anton Brucker? Find out more about this great composer who was born near Linz in 1824. On this tour you will visit the house of his birth with its impressive museum, see the abbey of St. Florian where Anton Brucker received his basic music education and his sarcophagus was put to final rest. The tour will also include a visit to the Old Cathedral (Jesuit church) of Linz where Bruckner was cathedral organist for more than twelve years as well as a visit to the New Cathedral of Linz for which he composed the Mass in e-minor and the incredible mottete "Locus iste".

- Mauthausen former Nazi concentration camp Memorial Center
Mauthausen was the largest Nazi concentration camp on Austrian territory with 49 attached satelite camps. The guided tour through the former NS concentration camp memorial center can include also the memorial center of the satellite camp Gusen II . One of the well-known survivors of the concentration camp Mauthausen is Simon Wiesenthal.
This tour takes about 3 hours including transfer from / to Linz in Johann's Guide-Taxi.

- Saint Florian Baroque Monastery of the Canons Regular of St. Augustine
This is one of the splendid baroque style monasteries. Anton Bruckner received his basic music education as a student member of the St. Florian's Boys Choir. Here he served for some years as a teacher and from here he went out to become a great musician and composer. "Hic evolvit, hic requievit" According to his last wish his body was put to rest here after his death. For a guided tour through the abbey (Library, Marble Hall, Crypt) with one of the local Canons (a priest of the Canons Regular of St. Augustine's Order at St. Florian) seperate arrangements need to be made.
This Taxi Tour takes about 2 hours.

- Hallstatt and Salzkammergut Lake area
The historical town of Hallstatt has been declared a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. It does radiate a special atmosphere and offers visitors unforgettable memories of a very natural flair. It is about two hours driving from Linz or one hour from Salzburg. More mountain lakes like Wolfgang See, Mondsee, Traunsee, and others can be visited with in a few hours. Part of "The Sound of Music" was produced in this lake area. Various sites of "The Sound of Music" can be covered along this tour.

- Freistadt
The border town Freistadt is located app. 35 km north of Linz. It was founded for the sake of protecting the border towards Bohemia, which is just about 15 km from Freistadt. Strong fortification walls and tower were set up in the middle ages to stop potential intruders. Up to this day the remarkable medieval walls and gates have been preserved allowing visitors to imagine how people may have lived and gone about their daily business. The local castle museum presents a large collection of utensils of daily usage in former days.

- Gothic, Nature, and Culinary Tour through Muehlviertel
The Muehlviertel is the northern region of Upper Austria with borders towards Germany, Czech Republic and neighboring Lower Austria. Geologically speaking it is part of the "Bohemian tectonical plate" with granite high lands and uncountable rolling hills. Landscape and rough climatical conditions have brought forth a very unique, strong and kind of stuborn people who have learned to survive under poor and advers circumstances.
This tour will lead through farm villages, towns like Wartberg ob der Aist, Bad Zell, Pierbach, Köngiswiesen, Unterweissenbach, and others. Most of these towns have remarkable gothic churches. Along the tour there will be opportunity to see and experience some of presumable former ritual locations in the nature, Granit rock formations with holes (cavities) on their top. These sites are also know as "Kraftplatz", sites of special energy. Some hiking along the tour may be required.
Along this tour we try to arrange meetings with local people and opportunities to try and share some of the very traditional local food, like smoked meat, differnt types of "Knoedel", breads and maybe "Schnaps".

- Steyr City
This is a truly outstanding city with beautifil coloured town houses of wealthy craftsmen, successful merchants powerful aristocrats and clergy. - The gorgeous Danube valley and Wachau - A romantic car ride along the scenic Danube river valley named "Wachau" with a walk along the Danube including a visit of either the Abbey Stift Göttweig or Stift Melk. Guided tours through the abbey can be booked seperately. Boat trips on the Danube between Melk and Krems can be arranged.

- Cesky Krumlov
This city in southern Bohemia is also a UNESCO world cultural heritage with an incredible atmosphere. The Vlatava flows through the middle of the city. Climbing up to to the historical castle palace will be a great experience. Visitors from around the globe come to see this place. From Linz it is a little more than a one hours car ride. For visiting this place you will need a valid travel identification (passport).
The taxi tour includes a one hour guided walking tour.
